is a non-profit, humanitarian movement focused on rebuilding communities through sustainable solutions in the aftermath of natural disasters and human crises. ASR was founded in January 2005 by Hunter and Andrea Herz Payne. The primary objectives of ASR are to bring awareness to global issues which have left the headlines and to help communities rebuild themselves through environmentally-friendly processes.

ASR’s current campaigns involve the regions devastated by the conflict in Darfur, Hurricane Katrina, and the December 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia. The key initiatives are to increase the level of awareness regarding these tragedies and to collaborate with other charity organizations to create and fund service projects for each group in need. By approaching restoration on an ecologically-friendly basis and utilizing a region’s native environment, Aid Still Required “builds back better” and builds back green.

We are nothing more than ordinary people who dream big…who think it takes no more than one person to start extraordinary change. We are the few who represent the many. The many individuals who are concerned, who want to do something but need a way to get involved, and who are willing to stand in the face of adversity to help those who are unable to help themselves.

As a non-profit, we meet the physical, spiritual, and health needs of disadvantaged people, while also supporting needy children and young adults from primary school through university education. Hands Across Nations initiates health care programs and supports practitioners in the area.
